PIM Dock Droid

PIM Dock Droid; LE-series GMB Repair Droid (Government Market Body).

The TXC-170 Repair Droid (also known as a PIM Dock Droid) is known as a versatile---if very expensive---Repair Droid, able to do a variety of tasks including in-depth starship repair and other very technical repairs at space stations, shipyards & drydocks, and spaceports. In addition to repairs, the droids are able to perform taxiing & landing of most light freighters & bulk freighters, while also providing full piloting ability of spacetugs in over crowded and dangerous space stations, shipyards & drydocks, and spaceports with a almost flawless safety record. The droid also comes with the ability to pilot swoop bikes, landspeeders, and airspeeders with the same flawless safety record. Additionally, the droid comes with a database of every commercially built starship & space station within the Kingdom of Jod and their schematics, statistics, and updated regulations provided by the Interplanetary Bureau of Ships, Specifications, and Regulations.

The Repair Droid is designed, developed, and produced produced by Fair & Group Military Contracting (Fair Group) for the Kingdom of Jod and is part of the New Class Droid of 28 BBY. The PIM Dock Droid is widely known to be able to dismantle & rebuild a new starship, airspeeder, or landspeeder from various parts, if installed with the Enhanced Custom Market Body programming. Because of the repair droid's versatility, it is also sold to the civilian market, making up a large chunk of Fair Group's profits each year. The droid's PIM designation stands for: Planetary Enforcement & Customs Agency, Interplanetary Bureau of Services, Maritime Coastal Defense & Rescue Agency Docking Bay Droid, hinting at the droid's use primarily in the civilian government Agency market.

If allowed to operate without a memory wipe for an extended period of time, PIM Dock Droids have been known to develop their own unique personalities, desires, and critical thinking skills based on past experiences as their knowledge grows. This lack of memory wipes enables the droids to become even more mightily useful for privately operated light freighter & bulk freighter captains, as well as for more illegal means for smugglers & pirates (as the droids developed the ability to out-think predictable human & alien thinking to elude the Planetary Enforcement & Customs Agency and military blockades.

The droid stands at 1.85 meters tall or just over 6 feet tall.

Outside Galaxy's Cybot Galactia

The droid was a planned repair droid by Cybot Galactia, however, the various prototype droids of the planned LE-series Repair Droid, all designs, specifications, and all other data was stolen and then permanently destroyed by the House of Royal Intelligence as part of the Dixon-William Files. Without their designs and specifications, the LE-series Repair Droid concept was abandoned by Cybot Galactia.

Fair Group Models

After receiving the LE-series Repair Droid from the House of Royal Intelligence as part of the Dixon-William Files, Fair & Group Military Contracting (Fair Group) enhanced the Repair Droid's initial droid brain beyond anything Cybot Galactia could have hoped for, jumping the initial retail price by Cybot Galactia of 4 times the amount of a WED Treadwell Repair Droid to 5 times and in some cases 7 times, the extra pricing for the various upgraded models available.

Civilian Market Body

The TXC-170 CMB Repair Droid is the civilian version of the versatile droid and brings all the standard LE-series Repair Droid abilities, from in-depth starship repair and other very technical repairs at space stations, shipyards & drydocks, and spaceports. In addition to repairs, the CMB model is able to perform taxiing & landing of most light freighters & bulk freighters, while also providing full piloting ability of spacetugs in over crowded and dangerous space stations, shipyards & drydocks, and spaceports with a almost flawless safety record. The CMB also comes with the ability to pilot swoop bikes, landspeeders, and airspeeders with the same flawless safety record. Additionally, the CMB comes with a database of every commercially built starship & space station within the Kingdom of Jod and their schematics, statistics, and updated regulations provided by the Interplanetary Bureau of Ships, Specifications, and Regulations.

The CMB costs 4 times the amount of a WED Treadwell Repair Droid, standard original pricing from Cybot Galactia.

Enhanced Custom Market Body

The TXC-170 ECMB Repair Droid (Enhanced Custom Market Body) is a custom up-gradable version of the LE-series CMB Repair Droid, allowing civilian owners to add various upgrades to their repair droids. The upgrades came at a price, but could be added separately, allowing owners to fully customize their droids to their liking. As such, ECMB droids were wildly distinct from other civilian, GMB, and MMB models. Upgrades included:

Illegal Upgrades

Many civilian owners have gone out of their way to illegally upgrade their droids. Most of the time, the illegal upgrades will be above & beyond the TXC-170 ECMB Repair Droid (Enhanced Custom Market Body) upgrades.

Government Market Body

The TXC-170 GMB Repair Droid is the civilian government Agency version of the versatile droid and brings all the standard Civilian Market Body (CMB) abilities to the new GMB model. GMB droids work with the Planetary Enforcement & Customs Agency (PECA) & Maritime Coastal Defense & Rescue Agency (MCD) on a daily basis, as well as the various branches of the Interplanetary Bureau of Services (IBS).

The droid is updated with several unique upgrades over the CMB model. These upgrades include:

  • Droid brain is enhanced with extra memory space & processing speeds

GMB droids are prohibited to be sold on the civilian market due to their highly classified crime syndicate & pirate organization information, as well as their basic security droid programming including self-defense and the ability to use slugthrowers, blasters, and melee weapons. Because of their classified information, GMB droids are high prizes to be stolen by various criminals, enabling them to be one step ahead of PECA & MCD. Because of this, GMB droids are equipped with a self-destruct mechanism in the event of being stolen, disabled, or illegally accessed.

Military Market Body

The TXC-170 MMB Repair Droid is the Jod Military Forces version of the versatile droid and brings the basic programming of the LE-series CMB Repair Droid (Civilian Market Body), as well as the basic security droid programming including self-defense and the ability to use slugthrowers, blasters, and melee weapons of the TXC-170 GMB Repair Droid (Government Market Body). Additionally, the droid was armored in bronzium and had a exterior color similar to that of a droideka.

The droid is upgraded with the following:
