Background

Introduced in 10 BBY by Jump Aerospace Systems & built by CargoCorp Interplanetary Business Group starting in 7 BBY, the Cessation II-class Cruiser---(fully crewed and complemented at 14,019 personnel)---is mostly identical in appearance & weaponry to the Cessation I-class Cruiser.

In the modern Kingdom's Navy, it has become a mid-range cruiser with modest abilities across the board. Its increased speed, protection, and larger hanger bay give it important mission profile versatility.

The Cessation II-class Cruiser is part of the navy's New Class Initiative.

Structural Design

The Cessation II-class Cruiser adapts a sleeker exterior to smooth out rough lines from its predecessor (additionally has a color scheme similar to a King I-class Cruiser)---and replaces the circular port & starboard tubes with a octagon cylinder shape, which bow ends in a pointed tip and flat octagon in the aft---and a sleeker interior to utilize more usable space and saves additional room with a newer, smaller, and more powerful reactor core and more powerful & smaller engines ( 3 Heavy Drive Z10 Engines & 4 Xon397 Thrusters). This overall increased room allows for a larger hanger bay, which adds to the cruiser's mission profile versatility.

Weaponry

The Cessation II-class has an excellent array of weaponry and replaces the 12 Quad Turbolaser Turrets from its older brother with 20 Dual Turbolaser Turrets (similar to the CR90 Corellian Corvette). It also replaces the 24 double laser cannons with 36 double laser cannons and the 8 concussion missile launchers with 8 single ion cannons.
