Background
The Capital World Planetary Defensive Network (CapNet) is the title given to the Joint Operations Planetary Defensive Network (PlanNet) that protects the Capital World of the Kingdom of Jod under the Planetary Defense Force. Unlike other PlanNets, CapNet is the most extensive and complex PlanNet in the entire Kingdom and the Jod Military Forces as a whole, as much for the Capital World's importance to the Jod as also because of the natural complexities of the Capital World's space & atmospheric effects.
CapNet is commanded by the most senior Vice Admiral in the Kingdom's Navy; CapNet is composed of the following, from closet to ground to furthest out to outer space (military moons an exception):
Army Garrison Force
The Army Garrison Force on the Capital World commands the following:
- 15 military moons and all their defenses
- 30 World Defense System Installations (5 per each hemisphere & pole)
- 36 System Bases
- 100 Air Fields (25 per hemisphere)
- 1400 of Army Forts (325 each to Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western Hemispheres / 50 each to South, North Poles)
- Hundreds of thousands of Local Garrisons
- Countless Outposts
Planetary Shield
The World Defense Shield surrounds the Capital World; the planetary shield & shield gate's design and strength is equal to that of the one protecting the world of Scarif. All planetary traffic, both civilian & military, must travel through the shield gate.
Orbital Battle Stations
The Guardian Orbital Defensive System provides battle stations to safe guard the Capital World from a military attack. They do not interfere with the Planetary Enforcement & Customs Agency (PECA) or Planetary Emergency Services & Rescue Agency (PES) entrusted to the Capital World, unless otherwise asked to do so directly by either PECA or PES.
Orbital Traffic Regulation Spaceport System
The Orbital Traffic Regulation Spaceport System (OTRS) is a system focused on 3 of the 97 moons surrounding the Capital World, including the moons of Julian One, Amber, and Omega Frost (labeled as Travel Gateway #1, #2, & #3 respectfully). All traffic to & from the Capital World is controlled, filtered, and monitored through the first two moons (Julian One & Amber), while the third moon (Omega Frost) is used primarily as a dangerous goods transport gateway and passenger reserve gateway in case the first two moons get overloaded. All personal & commercial starships are left parked at one of the moons, while passengers and cargo are thrown to and from the Capital World via Star Commuter 2000s & AA-9 Freighter-Liners for passengers and GR-75 Medium Transports & BFF-1 Bulk Freighters for cargo.
It should be noted that nowhere else within the Kingdom of Jod are the Star Commuter, AA-9, GR-75, or BFF-1 used, as to allow the Capital World Planetary Defensive Network to easily scan, inspect, monitor, and secure all traffic to and from the planet. This uniform usage of ships specific to one world and limited usage outside of the Capital World greatly enhances security for the planet.
Planetary Defensive Fleet
The Planetary Defense Fleet Corps (PDFC) fields the most modern & largest planetary defensive fleet around the Capital World in the entire Kingdom of Jod, both around planetary orbit and on the oceans of the planet. This is accomplished through both the Capital World Planetary Defense Fleet (CWPF) & Capital World Maritime Defense Fleet (CWMF).
The Capital World's planetary defensive fleets feature combat-tested crews, which are rotated in from the front lines for 9 month rotations in what is called a 3 Rotation Deployment.
