Background
An Aerial Reconnaissance Squadron (ARS), part of the Army Air Force, is made up of six (6) Skyhawk-class Aerial Reconnaissance Hot Air Balloons & one (1) Sky Fortress-class Aerial Reconnaissance Airship. The squadron includes 434 personnel (and 14 droids). Typically, a ARS is lead by a Major (commanding officer), Captain (executive officer), and Senior Flight Lieutenant (second officer).
The squadron is supported by 4 Maintenance Technicians total & associated 4 droids (2 Flight Mechanic Teams) for the hot air balloons and 10 Maintenance Technicians & associated 10 droids (5 Flight Mechanic Teams) for the Aerial Reconnaissance Airship. A Staff Lieutenant oversees the administrative & logistical needs of the squadron, as well as overseeing the Flight Mechanic Team.
