Background
The AF-1 Bulk Freighter is a cargo ship for the civilian Jod in general; a highly popular design for security-minded civilians, the AF-1 caters to companies such as Lone Star Security Shipping, which typically transports valuable cargo or ships through less secured shipping lanes. Pound for pound, the AF-1 is a cost-effective manner to ship bulk cargo in a secured manner. Costing only 200,000 Jod Coin Standard (new) despite its weaponry & single Orbital Jumper, its a plentiful sight in the Kingdom of Jod and built by CargoCorp Interplanetary Business Group (CargoCorp).
Designed with military-grade materials for structural stability, the BFF-1 features a titanium structural frame with a titanium hull. The BFF-1 features 33 MGLT, a Class 4 hyperdrive, and deflector shields (200 SBD) that all come standard; other equipment & features of the standard AF-1 includes a subspace transceiver, hyperwave transceiver, emergency back-up radionics system, a standard suite of sensors, built-in distress signal, escape pods, several Crash Survival Kits for the crew, 2 refreshers & 2 sonic showers, crew quarters, and mess deck, all a very typical standard set-up for a run-of-the-mill starship.
For weapons, the bulk freighter features 1 turbolaser, 4 EM-1919 Paired Repeating Laser Cannons (ball turret), and Chaff & Flares. It also comes with a single Orbital Jumper housed in a small hanger bay at the front of the bow bridge structure of the freighter.
